Small Groups

Welcome to Small Groups Home!

We are excited you are here. Take time to explore and let us know if you have any questions.

What Are Small Groups @ NLC

Small Groups at NewLife Church (NLC) are designed to help us be disciples and make disciples by equipping, empowering, engaging, and challenging one another through the Holy Spirit in the Word, Prayer, Evangelism, Fellowship, Generosity, and Excellence.

Each group is made up of two to six people. Once a group reaches six or more members, we encourage it to multiply into two new groups, fostering spiritual growth and broader community impact. Members are encouraged to invite friends, neighbors, and coworkers, expanding God’s kingdom throughout Leominster and beyond.

Our vision is to see at least two groups meeting every day of the week, both at NLC and in homes across the region. Together, we grow deeper in Christ and wider in reach.

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

FAQ

A Small Group is a gathering of 2–6 people who meet regularly to grow as disciples of Jesus through the Word, Prayer, Evangelism, Fellowship, Generosity, and Excellence.

Anyone! Whether you’re new to faith, have been walking with Jesus for years, or are just exploring, you are welcome to join a group.

Groups meet weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the needs and availability of the members. Some meet at NLC, while others meet in homes.

Groups meet throughout Leominster and surrounding areas—either in homes, coffee shops, workplaces, or at the church building.

Each meeting typically includes time for Scripture-based discussion, prayer, sharing life updates, and encouraging one another in faith and personal growth.

You can sign up after a service, through our website, or by speaking with a Small Group Leader or Pastor. We’ll help you find a group that fits your schedule and location.

Yes! If you have a heart to disciple others, we’ll equip and support you with training and ongoing encouragement to start your own group.

Once a group reaches six members, we encourage it to multiply into two separate groups. This allows for deeper connection and greater opportunities to make disciples.

No. We encourage youth and young adults to also participate in age-appropriate Small Groups, and we offer guidance for families who want to do groups together.

Not at all! Come as you are. Small Groups are designed to help you grow—no matter where you’re starting from.

Many groups commit to ongoing fellowship, but we also offer seasonal groups (6–8 weeks) for those looking for a shorter-term commitment.

That’s okay! We want you to thrive. Let us know, and we’ll help you find a group that’s a better fit for your personality, schedule, or spiritual journey.
