Nathan Rakes

Nathan serves as the Executive Pastor at NewLife Church, where he has been faithfully
leading since 2022. With a deep passion for worship and media, Pastor Rakes is
committed to helping people grow in their relationship with Christ and live out their faith
in tangible ways. 

Born in Lakeland, FL, Pastor Nate felt the call to ministry as a senior in college. This
journey led him to pursue theological education at Global University, where he earned
his license and eventually ordination with the Assemblies of God.

Before stepping into his current role at NewLife Church, Pastor Nate served as Youth
Pastor at NewLife Church from 2016 - 2022. During this time, he played a pivotal role in
the youth group as well as in worship and media. 

At the heart of Pastor Nate’s ministry is a deep conviction that we are called to love God
and love people. This belief is reflected in his dedication to seeing lives transformed
through relationships and ministry opportunities. 

Beyond ministry, Pastor Nate enjoys spending time with family, playing/watching almost
any sport, watching survivor and playing card/board games. He is married to Andrea
Rakes, and together they have 3 children, David, Anna and Malachi. 

One of Pastor Nate’s favorite scriptures is Matthew 6:33, which reminds him to keep his
eyes on God and let everything else fall into place. 

Pastor Nate is excited to continue serving the community at NewLife Church and looks
