Being a parent sometimes can be scary and stressful, even just being an adult can be overwhelming at times. Situations and trials come our way, that just seem impossible and to big to overcome. But with Jesus we can overcome the biggest mountain!
We read in Mark 5:21-43, A synagogue ruler named Jairus approached Jesus on a boat. He knew that if he could convince Jesus to come back with him, his sick daughter would be healed. Jesus agreed and traveled towards Jairus’ home.
As Jesus was on His way, the woman with the issue of blood touched His garment and was healed. As they left that crowd, a group of men came and told Jairus that there was no need to continue on and that he should not bother Jesus anymore; Jarius’ daughter had passed away. Jesus overheard what they said, and immediately said to Jairus, “Do not be afraid, only believe.” We know the rest of the story; Jesus goes to the house, kicks out the mourners, and raises her from the dead.
Here’s what caught my attention. When the bad news got worse, and fear tried to creep in, Jesus interrupted it. In the very moment that words were spoken that would cause fear He stepped in and said, “Do not fear, only believe.”
Right now I want you to declare this over yourself and your situation, believe in your heart that Jesus will take care of all that worries you. Today, before fear seeps into your heart, before it can even get to you, know that Jesus will interrupt it. Jesus is going to repair your circumstance. Even when things seem to be getting worse or hopeless, only believe. Jesus is interrupting all fear.
